The right dry-eye treatment depends on what the evaluation shows.

Dry eye can involve different contributors, so treatment is rarely one-size-fits-all. A plan may combine home care, medications, tear-retention strategies, eyelid-gland treatment, and in-office therapies based on the findings and your goals.

OptiLight IPL

A light-based treatment applied below the eyes. It is FDA-authorized as an adjunct to improve signs of moderate-to-severe MGD-related dry eye in eligible adults. Your evaluation helps us decide whether it fits.

MiBoFlo thermal care

Controlled heat and massage can support the eyelid oil glands in selected patients.

Gland expression

When appropriate, careful in-office expression helps release oil from the eyelid glands.

Punctal plugs

Small plugs placed in the tear-drainage openings may help your natural tears remain on your eyes longer.

Drops

Lubricating and prescription drops may ease symptoms or address specific contributors. We help select the kind and schedule that fits your eyes.

Lid hygiene

A simple, manageable routine helps keep the eyelids and lashes clean as part of your wider care plan.

Amniotic membranes

For selected patients with a damaged or irritated eye surface, a protective membrane may support healing.

What treatment is not

No single therapy is the answer for every patient.

The treatment that makes sense for one patient may be unnecessary or inappropriate for another. In-office procedures should be recommended because the examination and testing support their use, not simply because the technology is available.

Some dry-eye treatments may not be covered by insurance. The practice can explain expected costs and coverage considerations before treatment is started.
